The Upstate Parrot Head Club was formed in Spartanburg, SC by a small group of devoted Parrot Heads - Fred Burnett, Rick and Sonya Carlson, Ricky Harris, Jim and Nita Ness, and Tony Proctor. Our club has expanded to include Greenville and has over 120 members, not counting the 'keets'. We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to join the Upstate Parrot Head Club or a Parrot Head club near you. There's even a 'virtual' Parrot Head Club for those that don't have an island to drop an anchor. Along with your membership, which includes meetings, fund raisers, concerts and in general, good fun, we also issue monthly newsletters, sent via email, to keep all members informed of upcoming events and other items of interest. The Upstate Parrot Head Club is associated with PHiP (Parrot Heads in Paradise), a nationwide organization dedicated to charitable causes and the enjoyment of good music. "Party With A Purpose" In 2002 our local club sponsored the immensely successful Island Fever Music and Food Festival, raising well over $10,000 for such causes as The South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind, Special Olympics, and the Red Cross. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Meetings are usually held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month and sometimes additional meetings are held as well. Currently we are 'flocking' at Wild Wing Cafe in downtown Spartanburg, Hickory Tavern and Captain Tony's on the East side of Spartanburg. If you live in the upstate and would like to join our club, please click on the Membership link for a downloadable copy of our membership form, or contact one of the officers. Hope you all enjoy our parrot head home "Up In South Carolina"!

The Upstate Parrot Head Club is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to gather like-minded people in the celebration and appreciation of the tropical attitude depicted by the music and writings of Jimmy Buffett, to assist in the local community, to be kind to the environment, and to have a good time.
